Full Body Vibration Training & Vibration Therapy
Whole Body Vibration Therapy is not used to “Shake the Cellulite off your body” like those big strap machines in the 60’s and 70’s. A Vibration Therapy plate, using a pivoting system, causes muscles to activate without the brain being actively involved in the muscle contraction. This is not a replacement for any type of exercise but vibration can be an amazing addition to your current regimen.
Some benefits include:
• Improved Muscle Strength primarily in the lower body
• Improved Flexibility and Joint Range of Motion
• Improved Balance and Mobility
• Increased Bone Density
This form of therapy is especially useful for those individuals who are unable to create the stimulation through aggressive movements, which may be necessary to increase bone density.
Many professional athletes use vibration therapy to accelerate healing and the repair of damaged muscles and tissues. The full body stimulus can be very effective, however, if any of the following conditions apply to you, this form of therapy is not recommended:
• Neurological Conditions
• Pregnancy
• Acute Thrombosis
• Recent wounds from surgery
• Artificial Joints
• Pacemaker
• Retinal problems or dysfunction
• Acute hernia / discopathy / spondylolysis
For optimal results, it is recommended to keep each session under 15 minutes and not to exceed 2 or 3 sessions per week to give your body time to recover from the stimulation.
It is recommended to complete your first session at a low level.
